Bill carries on a general practice of law with an emphasis on municipal and planning law. He also maintains a civil litigation practice which includes personal injury, insurance, construction and employment law. Bill chairs the firm's Municipal Law Team and regularly provides legal advice to numerous municipalities and municipal sector tribunals throughout the Province of Alberta. He has appeared before a number of tribunals including the Municipal Government Board, the Environmental Appeal Board, the Labour Relations Board and the Natural Resources Conservation Board. He appears before both, and represents, numerous Subdivision and Development Appeal Boards, and Assessment Review Boards throughout the Province. Bill also appears regularly before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal.
