Eventbrite - Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Training Workshop

Amendments to the Municipal Government Act now require Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) clerks and members to undergo mandatory training as approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs. Training must be complete by April 1, 2019.

RMRF is offering a one-day SDAB training session on Thursday March 21, 2019 just in time for the deadline. Led by Municipal Team Co-Chair Kelsey Becker Brookes, the training will meet the requirements of the MGA and the SDAB Regulation. This full day session will offer training for both Clerks and Members, followed by an Assessment of Learning to certify attendees’ participation.

Kelsey Becker Brookes is an experienced SDAB trainer. In addition to RMRF’s private training session, Kelsey has previously offered this training on behalf of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) and the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA). RMRF’s training team also includes Partner Daina Young who provided SDAB training on behalf of Alberta Municipal Affairs, and who was involved in recent updates to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Training Guidebook published by Alberta Municipal Affairs.

Register your spot now to ensure training is complete before April 1, 2019.
