Kelsey Becker Brookes Appointed Justice to the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta

 

Reynolds Mirth is thrilled to announce that Kelsey Becker Brookes has been appointed as a Justice of the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta in Edmonton.

This appointment is a testament to Kelsey’s exceptional expertise, dedication, and unwavering commitment to justice. For over 24 years, Kelsey has consistently demonstrated outstanding integrity and passion for the practice of law.

While we are sad to bid her farewell, we are immensely proud of her accomplishments and the positive impact she has made at Reynolds Mirth, and in the broader legal community. She has been a leader and mentor to so many, and her legacy will remain a permanent and meaningful thread in the tapestry of the firm’s history.

Kelsey received her Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction), and Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction), from the University of Alberta. She joined Reynolds Mirth as an associate after being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2000. During Kelsey’s legal career, she practiced in a range of areas before focusing her practice on Municipal Law and Employment Law. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Municipal Law Team, Kelsey rooted herself as a trusted and highly sought-after leader in the area of municipal law. She has provided advice to countless municipalities and municipal entities throughout Alberta over the past two decades and has taught extensively on various law topics.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kelsey on this remarkable achievement and wish her continued success and fulfillment in her esteemed role as Justice of the Court of King’s Bench.
